Detection for Prisons & Correctional

Correctional facilities face a growing threat from drones used to deliver contraband such as narcotics, weapons, and mobile devices. These incursions undermine institutional safety, fuel internal violence, and create long-term security risks. Drone detection technology provides early identification of airborne threats before payload delivery occurs, enabling coordinated response and evidence capture. Web-based monitoring dashboards allow administrators to track patterns, document incidents, and strengthen perimeter protocols. In environments where security breaches have immediate consequences, proactive airspace awareness is no longer optional — it is essential.

Our systems enable:

  • Early detection of drone activity near facilities

  • Identification of drone manufacturer and signal type

  • Real-time alerts to security staff

  • Historical logging for investigations and prosecutions

Designed for perimeter monitoring, rooftops, yards, and buffer zones.

UAS Sentry can be an effective tool to protect a prison from potential drone threats. Here's how it could work:

UAS Sentry is installed near the perimeter of the prison to monitor the airspace. In the event of a drone intrusion, the system can immediately detect and capture the drone's Remote ID information, including its serial number and location.

Detecting the operator of the drone: UAS Sentry can identify the location of the drone operator by capturing the drone's Remote ID information, which includes the drone pilot's location. The system can provide real-time information on the operator's location, helping the prison security personnel to identify and track down the operator.

Alerting prison security personnel: When UAS Sentry detects a drone intrusion, it can send out alerts to prison security personnel through a web application or push notifications on their smartphones. The system can also provide real-time location data of the drone and its pilot, enabling the security personnel to respond quickly and effectively.

By using UAS Sentry, prison authorities can enhance their security measures by detecting potential drone threats and tracking down the operators. This can help prevent the smuggling of contraband into the prison, the delivery of weapons, or other unauthorized activities that can compromise the safety and security of the facility.
